The Boone County Genealogical Society has a passion for family history research, online resources and DNA analysis. But we still love old documents, newspapers, photographs, deeds, wills, and cemeteries!

Some of us have completed large family trees or published books about our ancestors' lives & family stories. Some are advanced researchers, while others are just starting out.

While many records can be found online, it's not everything! We are keeping current with new places to look.

And no matter where you are in your genealogy journey, there is always something new to learn and someone who can help you stay energized. All levels are welcome!

Come to a Society Meeting - Monthly meetings with wonderful speakers, or the working group where you can dig into problems, questions or brick walls. See upcoming meetings below or on the EVENTS tab. Members of the public are always welcome!
