About Us
The Boone County Genealogical Society is dedicated to providing educational opportunities and support to those interested in family history research in Boone County, Indiana and beyond.
Society meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except July and December) 6:00-7:30pm and include presentations from local or regional experts. Spend the first 30 minutes socializing with other family historians! Meetings are generally held at the Lebanon Public Library, starting at 6:30pm. All upcoming meeting dates, topics and locations can be found on the EVENTS tab. Members of the public are always welcome!
The monthly working sessions occur on the 2nd Thursday of each month, 1 to 3pm. This group is informal and collaborative, so drop in whenever you have an exciting discovery or a question/problem! Locations vary so check the EVENTS tab for the meeting place.
Membership fee is $20, annually, Jan 1 to Dec 31. An online application form can be found on the JOIN tab. Once completed, bring your annual dues to the next meeting or mail them to the Society address found in the footer. Member Login IDs will be activated after dues are received.
Members receive access to cemetery & member lists, society photos, newsletters, plus previous month's meeting minutes, and financial statements.
The Boone County Genealogical Society, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Larry Truitt and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
